At least 38 French tourists were injured, two of them critically, when the bus they were travelling in overturned after being hit by another vehicle in Rajasthan's Jodhpur Monday, police said.
According to police, the accident occurred in Jodhpur city, some 350 km from Jaipur.
"The French tourists group was on an India tour. It had visited various tourist destinations in Jodhpur after reaching here from Jaisalmer yesterday (Sunday). The group was leaving for Pushkar in a bus when the accident occurred in the morning today (Monday)," a police officer told IANS.
The officer said that a few minutes after the tourists left the hotel to set off on their journey, their bus was hit by another bus from behind.
"Their bus overturned. A couple of tourist are in critical condition. They are being treated at Mathura Das Mathur Hospital in Jodhpur," said the officer.
