Over 400 houses were damaged and at least six people were injured in storms that lashed a few West Bengal districts since Tuesday night, officials said on Wednesday.
Damages were reported in North 24 Parganas, Howrah and Nadia where electricity poles and trees were uprooted, said home secretary Basudeb Banerjee.
In Habra in North 24 Parganas, around 400-500 houses were damaged and six people were injured, said district magistrate Manmeet Kaur Nanda.
"Two of the six admitted to a hospital have been released. No deaths have been reported," she told IANS.
