As a promise made to The Calcutta Orphanage, city football giants East Bengal will be hosting 42 boys from the welfare institution for their Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup encounter against Johor Darul Ta'zim FC at the Salt Lake Stadium here on Tuesday.

On March 22, on the occasion of the death anniversary of former general secretary Dipak Das, the club had promised the institution that it will make arrangements for the orphaned kids to witness an international match.

"Keeping that promise in mind, the club has made arrangements for The Calcutta Orphanage to come with their kids and teachers to watch the AFC cup match at the Salt Lake Stadium at 6 p.m. against Johor Dorul, Malaysia," said a club release.

"We are happy to announce that they have confirmed that they will be coming with 42 orphan boys of different age groups and eight staffers to watch our match. It's a great honour for our club that we could make such an arrangement for those kids, who will all be witnessing a full match sitting at the stadium for the first time in their life."

The boys are set to witness what promises to be an enthralling match as the home side will look to pip their opponents this time, avenging their 1-4 loss away in Malaysia.

Presently East Bengal is third in the standings with one win from four matches.
