58 illegal African migrants held in Morrocco

A total of 58 African migrants were arrested in Morrocco while trying to enter a Spanish enclave of Melilla from the Moroccan territories around it, state media said Monday.

Around 150 sub-Saharan African migrants tried to force their way to Melilla in the Mediterranean by climbing seven metre-high barbed wire, Xinhua quoted local authorities as saying.

Melilla, is a Spanish exclave, military base, and free port on the northern coast of Morocco.
