Seven persons were arrested on the charge of involvement in a failed armed robbery here last week, police said on Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Pankaj Kumar Singh said that the seven accused were held on Tuesday on the Delhi-Noida road while going in a car used in the crime.
The accused had intercepted a cash van on October 8 on the DND (Delhi-Noida Direct) flyover and shot at guard Bishambar while he was ferrying three boxes of cash from Janakpuri to Noida.
The officer said that the accused couldn't break open the vault or find the keys to the remaining locks and fled without looting Rs 4.2 crore kept in the safe.
