Aamir Khan has given the thumbs up to actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar's Marathi film "Natsamrat", starring veteran actor Nana Patekar in the lead. The Bollywood superstar says the film is a "must watch".
"I saw 'Natsamrat' last night (Tuesday). What a film! And what an amazing performance by Nana, truly 'ase nat hone nahi'," Aamir posted on Twitter on Wednesday.
"A must watch for all who love performances! And Vikram ji (Vikram Gokhale) has done no less. Outstanding! Both Nana and Vikram ji kept me riveted throughout. Thank you Mahesh, Nana, Vikram ji, and to the entire team," the "PK" star added.
"Natsamrat" is based on late poet V.V. Shirwadkar aka Kusumagraj's legendary Marathi play of the same name.
Nana plays the role of Ganpat Ramchandra Belwalkar or Natsamrat in the film.
The story of the film revolves around a veteran theatre actor who has been the best of his lot, acting in plays based on William Shakespeare's works. But gradually, Natsamrat becomes homeless and weary.
The film also features Medha Manjrekar, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Ajit Parab, Neha Pendse and Sunil Barve.
