The AAP on Thursday said it had launched a 24-hour Helpline for people in Punjab in areas bordering Pakistan and urged party activists to help their evacuation from these areas.
The Aam Aadmi Party gave its Helpline number as 84377 91773.
The AAP move came after the Punjab government announced evacuation of villagers living in 10-km border belt following "surgical strikes" by the Indian Army across the Line of Control early on Thursday.
"We urge all AAP volunteers to help people's evacuation from border areas as they are in dire need of help at this crucial moment," the AAP Punjab unit said on its official Twitter handle.

Earlier, senior AAP leader H.S. Phoolka asked AAP volunteers to look after camps where these villagers would be shifted.
"The government as usual will ignore them," he tweeted.
