Jammu, April 20 (IANS) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Saturday underplayed the the incident of Home Minister Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo slapping a Kashmir Administrative Service officer.
Sajjad Kichloo, a legislator from Kishtwar, had Thursday slapped Riyaz Ahmad Choudhary, chief executive officer of Kishtwar Development Authority, for arriving late at a venue which the chief minister was visiting.
The incident occurred in Kishtwar, a mountain-locked town 200 km northeast of Jammu.
Abdullah said that he has "asked the minister to sit down with the officer and resolve the issue" and hoped that "such incidents would not happen in future".
Fearing for his life, Choudhary has fled Kishtwar and is in Jammu.
"No action has been taken on my written complaint so far," Choudhary said.

His complaint to police has not been registered, official sources said.
Meanwhile, the Kashmir Administrative Services officers association Saturday condemned the incident.
