Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Thursday visited the army's northern command headquarters in Udhampur district of Jammu region and was briefed on security matters.
A defence spokesman said the chief minister was received by the northern army commander, Lt. Gen. Sanjiv Chachra and other officers.
Abdullah discussed various matters relating to the state's security and law and order, he said.
"The GOC-in-C briefed the chief minister on various issues relating to the security of the state and those pertaining to the functioning of security grid in the state," the spokesman added.
