Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday demanded action against Delhi Police officers who "raided" the Kerala House here to verify if beef was served in its canteen.
"The AAP strongly condemns the completely unjustified Delhi Police raid at the Kerala House" on Monday evening, it said in a series of tweets.
"Delhi Police under BJP has lost all sense of impartiality and professionalism and is behaving like a rightwing frontal organisation of the BJP."
The AAP said it was shocking that state bhavans, the official seats of representation of state governments, were being targeted by the BJP-led central government through Delhi Police.
"The Narendra Modi-led BJP government is playing a dangerous game by trampling the basic principles of federalism in our democracy, through its rogue police," it said.
The AAP urged the union home ministry, to which Delhi Police reports, to take immediate action against the Delhi Police officers "who ordered this raid at Kerala House".
