Delhi's ACB chief M.K. Meena on Friday told the Delhi High Court that he has been "acting as per the law" and refuted the claim of the AAP government that he was not allowing anyone to work.

Justice V.P. Vaish was informed by Meena that in his "capacity as Joint CP (joint commissioner), ACB (Anti-Corruption Branch) i.e. the head of the ACB has always acted bona fide and in accordance with law. Any allegation to the contrary is clearly misconceived and is denied".

Meena filed the affidavit before the court, saying the contempt petition filed against him was "misconceived" as they have failed to point out any specific non-compliance or disobedience of the high court's order dated June 29, where it had asked Meena to act in accordance with the law.

The Arvind Kejriwal government had sought initiation of contempt of court proceedings against Meena, who was appointed by the lt governor, saying he was "not working in accordance with law" and not allowing anyone else to work.
