Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said on Monday that strict action will be taken against former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Congress MLA Karan Dalal for meeting the gang-rape victim in Rewari without the consent of doctors.
He said the Congress leaders also threatened the doctors attending on her. Vij told the media here that though the doctors had informed Hooda and Dalal that the victim was not fit to interact with them, they met her.
"This is against protocol. They also threatened the doctors which is a step in the direction of causing chaos," Vij said.
"Even the police and the investigation team cannot take statements of the victim without the consent of doctors but Hooda and Dalal have done this, and knowingly violated the rules. Necessary action will be taken against them after investigation," Vij added.
The board topper was allegedly gang-raped on September 12.
