Ethiopian Guye Adola and Kenya's Florence Kiplagat won the men's and women's category races of the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon held here Sunday.
Adola shattered the course record of 59.12 minutes to finish the 21.1 km race in 59.06 minutes. Reigning World Champion Geoffrey Kamworor of Kenya took second place with a time of 59.07 minutes. Ethiopian Mosinet Geremew clocked 59.11 minutes to finish third.
In the women's competition, Florence completed the race in an hour and 10.04 minutes. Reigning World Champion Gladys Cherono came second with a time of an hour and 10.05 minutes, which was two seconds faster than Worknesh Defega's effort.
