Growing older means becoming settled in career and personal life, but it also takes away our youthful looks. Wear sunscreen, eat well and get sufficient sleep to keep your skin looking young.
Kiran Lohia, medical director of Lumiere Dermatology, shares a few healthy tips for skin:
* Eat healthy meals with lots of fruits and vegetables to help prevent oxidative damage. And, don't forget to eat enough protein so your skin can create collagen and elastin.
* Sleep at least seven to eight hours a night so your skin has enough time to rejuvenate and heal itself.
* Exercise daily and avoid alcohol, cigarettes or drugs. Daily exercise has been proven to help keep your skin younger, while avoiding toxins will help preserve its natural youth.
* The sun's rays cause skin ageing, so protecting from them is essential. Wear sunscreen of at least SPF 30++ so that you are protected from both UVA and UVB rays. Reapply it after every four hours.
