Afghan President Ashraf Ghani arrived in Pakistan Friday on a two-day visit.
Ghani and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif are scheduled to discuss bilateral issues, Geo TV reported.
The Afghan president is accompanied by a delegation of senior leaders, cabinet ministers and business representatives.
Pakistan foreign office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said this was Ghani's first visit to Pakistan after assuming office in September this year.
She said Ghani's visit would strengthen Pakistan-Afghanistan relations to the mutual benefit of the two countries.
Sharif will host a luncheon in Ghani's honour and Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain will also meet him.
