The African Union (AU) and Russia Wednesday vowed to strengthen their partnership and cooperation in different areas.
Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, during his visit to the AU Headquarters in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa, has met and held talks with Chairperson of the AU Commission, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.
The two officials have discussed issues of mutual interest, aiming to strengthen the AU-Russia partnership and expand and deepen the cooperation.
They have also signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen overall cooperation and mutual interest.
Lavrov and Dlamini-Zuma told the press after their meeting that they have held fruitful discussion focusing on different areas.
