The ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu Saturday vowed to win all the Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in the next year's general elections while condemning the centre for acting against federalism.
At a meeting here, the party's executive committee passed 16 resolutions, including one in which the party resolved to win 40 Lok Sabha seats (39 in Tamil Nadu and one in Puducherry) in the 2014 general elections.
The party also condemned the centre for acting against the principle of federalism by trying to bring in the Food Security Bill, decontrolling the sugar sector, increasing bulk diesel prices for state transport corporations and other issues.
The executive committee also passed resolutions praising party general secretary and Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa for taking action to protect the state's fishermen from attacks by the Sri Lankan navy, demanding the retrieval of Katchatheevu, an islet in the Palk Straits which India transferred to Lanka.
