China's capital will now be directly connected to India's business capital with Air China launching its direct Beijing-Mumbai flights from Sunday.
Air China's first Airbus A330-300 flight from Beijing to Mumbai will arrive here at 1 a.m. Sunday and the first departure from Mumbai to Beijing will be at 2.30 a.m. the same day.
The flights on this sector will operate four times a week from the new Terminal II of Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
Presently, Air China connects Shanghai with Mumbai via Chengdu with the narrow-body Airbus A-319.
The new wide-body Airbus A330-300 on the Mumbai-Beijing sector will accommodate more than 300 passengers.
