National passenger carrier Air India on Wednesday announced that it will commence flight operations from New Delhi to Gorakhpur, starting from January 15.
According to the company, the six-days-a-week service will offer convenient connections to flyers travelling to various domestic and international destinations from Gorakhpur.
"Passengers arriving from the Gulf and other international destinations will get a convenient connection to Gorakhpur from Delhi by this flight," the airline said in a statement.
The airline will operate the new service on a 70-seater ATR 72-600 aircraft between Delhi and Gorakhpur.
The statement elaborated that Gorakhpur is the latest destinations added to the airline's network under its 'Connecting India' programme.
Recently, Air India launched operations between Mumbai and Gwalior with ATR-72 aircraft and connected Durgapur to Delhi and Kolkata with an Airbus A319 flight.
