State-run Air-India would commence from July 20 a tri-weekly service to Hubballi in north Karnataka from Bengaluru, about 200 nautical miles (375km), the national carrier said on Monday.
"The flight to Hubballi will strengthen regional connectivity under our 'Connect India' programme," the airline said in a statement here.
The airline will operate an ATR-72-600 aircraft on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in a week, departing from Bengaluru at 3.45 p.m. and arriving at Hubballi at 5.05 p.m.
The same aircraft will take off from Hubballi at 5.25 p.m. on return flight and reach Bengaluru at 6.35 p.m.
"The service will connect Hubballi to various domestic and international destinations via Bengaluru," the statement added.
