AirAsia has denied the rumours that it has cancelled flight service to Brunei, saying its flights are still operating as scheduled, a media report said Wednesday.
As recovery efforts continue following the crash of AirAsia QZ8501, rumours of the suspension of AirAsia services to Brunei are rife in the social media, making people curious about the authenticity of such a news, Xinhua reported citing news website BruDirect.com
The message being circulated in the social media, says that all incoming and outgoing flights using AirAsia to and from Brunei will be cancelled until April 2015 and AirAsia maintenance will be checked until further notice.
In reply to an inquiry, AirAsia dismissed the rumours with its representative saying: "The message is not true" and services are still on as scheduled.
People in the region and those from around the world are still coming to terms with the December 28 AirAsia plane crash that left 162 people, bound for Singapore from Indonesian city of Surabaya, dead.
