Leading aircraft manufacturer Airbus inaugurated its aerospace business accelerator Airbus BizLab on Tuesday aimed at transforming innovative ideas into valuable business.
"With the Airbus BizLab Bangalore, we are broadening our horizons and we aim to accelerate the rise of an Indian aeronautical entrepreneurship," Airbus BizLab head Bruno Gutierres said in a statement.
In Bengaluru, Airbus BizLab will be co-located with France's biggest business accelerator NUMA to create strong synergies between them from their respective ecosystems.
Airbus's chief innovation officer Yann Barbaux and Gutierres will select the most promising ideas submitted at www.f6s.com/airbusbizlabbengaluruseason1/apply by December 9th.
Airbus's Bengaluru BizLab is the third such aerospace business accelerator after its first BizLab opened in Toulouse, France, in March 2015 and the second one in Hamburg, Germany opened in September 2015.
"Setting up Airbus Bizlab Bangalore, reinforces this commitment by further enhancing India's aerospace entrepreneurial eco-system," said Kiran Rao, executive vice president, strategy and marketing, Airbus, in a statement.
The aerospace business accelerator will provide wide ranging support to early-stage projects in the form of a six-month acceleration programme and gives access to a large number of coaches, experts and mentors in the various domains of technology, legal, finance, marketing and communication, prototyping and access to market.
