Following the deadly Paris terror attacks that claimed 127 lives, the Alliance Francaise centre here has been closed for Saturday and Sunday.
"Please be informed, due to security reasons Alliance Francaise de Delhi will remain closed today and tomorrow (November 14-15). We regret the inconvenience," a notice pasted on the centre's gates on K.K. Birla Marg read.
It was issued by the centre's acting director Pierre Yves Meunier.
Alliance Francaise de Delhi is an Indo-French cultural centre which specialises in French language teaching, organising and curating cultural events.
At least 127 people were killed and many critically injured as eight terrorists armed with automatics and in suicide vests unleashed Mumbai-style mayhem in six crowded parts of Paris on Friday night, shocking the world and drawing international condemnation.
French Ambassador to India, Francois Richier, in a message said no Indian national has been identified among the casualties.
"As far as India is concerned, security measures of the French diplomatic and institutional premises are being beefed up," he stated.
