After giving a miss on two earlier summons, Raninder Singh, the son of Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) here on Thursday in connection with a Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) violation case.

Raninder, who had been summoned by the ED in connection with transfer of funds in banks in Switzerland and British Virgin Islands and creation of some trusts, was accompanied by Congress leader and lawyer Jaiveer Shergill.

"We will fully cooperate with the agencies. We are law-abiding citizens. We have full faith in the law. We will come out stronger," Raninder told media after appearing before ED officials.

Raninder had been summoned by the ED earlier on June 16 and July 14. However, he did not appear due to health reasons in the first instance and being busy with preparations of Rio Olympic Games the second time as he is the president of the National Rifle Association of India.
