New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson is hopeful of taking part in the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after making a surprisingly quick recovery from a finger injury.

The explosive cricketer, who had broken the record for the fastest ODI century in January this year, had injured his finger in New Zealand's decisive World Twenty20 loss to Sri Lanka last week.

Doubts were immediately cast over the 23-year-old's participation with the Mumbai Indians in the IPL that bowls off in Dubai April 16.

Anderson met a hand specialist in Auckland Friday and received positive news.

"There's no fracture, no break and we're very happy with how the injury is going," Anderson, who cost the Mumbai Indians Rs.4.5 crore, was quoted as saying by Fairfax NZ News.

"The ligaments are all fine too; everything else is good to go. Everything went well and the news was all positive."
