Anderson wins gold in women's slopestyle Olympic debut

American Jamie Anderson took gold in the women's snowboard slopestyle's debut at the Winter Olympics here Sunday.

The reigning X Games champion was awarded 95.25 points after riding down the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park course. Finland's Enni Rukajarvi, the 2011 X Games champ, took the silver with a score of 92.50, reports Xinhua.

The bronze went to Jenny Jones, who scored 87.25 points for Britain's first-ever Winter Olympics medal on snow.
