Revenue from ticket sales to foreign tourists visiting Cambodia's famed Angkor Wat park reached $40.7 million this year, a 2.3 per cent rise over last year, a statement said on Thursday.
The ancient site welcomed some 1.43 million foreigners during the January-August period this year, Xinhua news agency cited a statement from the state-run Angkor Enterprise.
The biggest sources of tourists to the site are Chinese, South Koreans and Japanese.
