Mumbai, April 18 (IANS) One of the most prolific male 'jodis' of the 1990s Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff share the screen after 15 years in "Shootout At Wadala". The "Hero" star applauded Anil's "enthusiasm" saying it is still intact and that he always inspired him.
The duo, who were last seen together in Priyadarshan's "Kabhi Na Kabhi" in 1998, shot together for a scene for the Sanjay Gupta-directed underworld drama Wednesday.
Talking about his co-star, Jackie said: "No, I didn't see any change in him. He is as enthusiastic as he was earlier. I hope he remains like this always. He works so passionately in front of the camera that I get inspired by him."
"Whenever we have worked together, I myself get very serious after seeing his passion and sincerity," added the 53-year-old, who gave hits like "Ram Lakhan", "Karma" and "Parinda" with Anil.
The "Slumdog Millionaire" star too enjoyed working with Jackie and after the shooting, they caught up over lunch.
"We were so engrossed in the work that our first priority was to do our scene well, so we prepared for the scene first and then shot it. After that we had lunch together, we cracked jokes, laughed with each other, and forgot our dialogues. It was exactly like the way we used to work earlier. There was no change," said Anil, who is also 53.
While Anil is playing ACP Ishaque Baghwan, Jackie will be seen as a police commissioner in "Shootout At Wadala", slated for a May 3 release.
The ensemble cast also features names like Sonu Sood, Tusshar Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, Manoj Bajpayee, Ronit Roy and Mahesh Manjrekar. John Abraham will be seen as gangster Manya Surve in the film, based on Mumbai police's first official encounter where Manya was gunned down.
