The 27th Arab League summit got underway on Monday in Mauritania's capital Nouakchott with focus on the issue of terrorism and its impacts on national security of Arab countries.
Delegates from over 20 member-states of the Arab world and international organisations are expected to exchange views on crisis in the Gulf countries, including Libya, Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Palestine during the two-day annual event, Xinhua news agency reported.
The theme of this year's gathering is "Arab Summit of Hope".
