India has clearly told China that Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir "are integral and inalienable parts of India", Defence Minister Arun Jaitley said Friday.
The minister told the Lok Sabha that China claims some 90,000 sq km of Indian territory in Arunachal Pradesh.
"Indian territory under the occupation of China in Jammu and Kashmir is approximately 38,000 sq km," he added.
In addition, Pakistan had illegally ceded 5,180 sq km of Indian territory in its Kashmir to China, he added.
"The fact that Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir are integral and inalienable parts of India has been clearly conveyed to the Chinese side on several occasions, including at the highest level," he said.
