Actress Ashley Jensen, who cites fashion designer Vivienne Westwood as her style icon, says that at one point of time, she used a kettle as a handbag.
The "Agatha Raisin" actress identifies with Westwood's eccentric fashion because of her own past desire to dress shockingly, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"Westwood is not a style icon for nothing. I really connect with her. I was one of those kids who went through a phase of wanting to dress shockingly. At one point I started using a kettle as a handbag," Glamour magazine quoted Jensen as saying.
"I love that she never apologises for the female form. In fact, she accentuates it," she added.
The 46-year-old actress also admires Sara Blakely, who founded Spanx, because of her perseverance and because she is a fan of the control undergarments.
"She was turned down time and time again by manufacturers, but she persevered because she believed she had a good product. And she did; I love my Spanx," the "Ugly Betty" actress added.
