Commercial vehicle major Ashok Leyland Ltd on Wednesday reported a net profit of Rs.159.32 crore for the quarter ended June 30.
In a statement issued here, the company said it closed the first quarter with a net profit of Rs.159.32 crore, up from a net loss of Rs.47.95 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014.
The company's total income during the period under review was Rs.3,841 crore, up from Rs.2,477.80 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
According to Ashok Leyland, the company outperformed the industry with a growth of 45 percent in medium and heavy commercial vehicle segment while the industry grew by 23 percent.
