The Indian pair of Sania Mirza and Prarthana Thombare marched into the women's doubles quarter-finals of the 17th Asian Games tennis competition with a facile win over Mongolia at the Yeorumul Tennis Courts here Friday.
Sania and Prarthana, seeded fifth, strolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Bolor Enkhbayar and Dulguunjargal Gotov of Mongolia in the second round match.
The Mongolian team were no match for the Indians who took barely 23 minutes to win the first set 6-0. In the second set, the Indian pair were even more rampant, taking 10 minutes to seal the set 6-0 and draw the curtains on the tie.
The Indian team will now take on he Thai pair of Peangtarn Plipuech and Nicha Lertpitaksinchai, who are seeded four, in the quarters.
