India's Lama Sajan Monday finished tied ninth in wushu's nanquan competition of the Asian Games here at the Ganghwa Dolmens Gymnasium.
Lama scored 9.06 points out of 10 to share ninth position with Japan's Koki Nakata. The 22-year-old Indian bagged 4.80 points for quality of management, 2.51 for overall performance and 1.75 for degree of difficulty to gather 9.06 points.
China's Di Wang won gold with 9.77 points ahead of second placed Junhua Huang of Macau. Huang scored 9.66 points.
Nanquan is a form of Chinese martial arts and features athletic movements (jump kick spinning, back flips and single step back tuck) with very extensive and artistic hand movement. Sajan will also compete in nangun later in the day.
