English football champions Leicester City announced that Austrian left-back Christian Fuchs' contract has been renewed for the next three seasons, until 2019.
Fuchs, 30, arrived to Leicester in the summer of 2015 after the expiry of his contract with German outfit Schalke 04, reports Efe.
"I'm happy. I'm committed to the club. We had a great last season and we've also done well so far this season in the Champions League," said the defender in a statement.
"I'm happy here and I've had the best time of my career so far here. Nobody expected what we achieved so far and I think there's still a lot to come. We built a good foundation and I think we can aim for more," he added.
Fuchs, who retired from the Austrian national team (78 caps) after the European Championship last summer, joins key footballers like Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy, Kasper Schmeichel and Danny Drinkwater who renewed with Leicester in recent months.
