The Miramar beach here served to be the most picturesque background for fashion designer Lalit Dalmia's collection for the fourth edition of India Beach Fashion Week.
Dalmia showcased menswear and womenswear of over 25 ensembles for his latest collection La Moda, at an offsite venue here on Tuesday. The show started with a lot of drama, where two models were seen lip-locking.
The range consisted of layered and trailed gowns, asymmetrical dresses, gloves, hair fascinators and netted gloves while menswear collection boasted about low crotched pants, pencil fit pants, suits and sailor stripes.
About his collection, Dalmia told IANS: "It is inspired by the vintage era or the fashion era...We are using peach, wine greens, blues... cuts are a little crazy,we are using lot of trails, frills... It's a fusion of the past with the future...I have taken the silhouettes from the past and beautiful cuts of the future."
The highlight of the entire show was the use of hair fascinators and hats.
Dalmia says he is trying to create a new trend with headgear.

"We are trying to set a new trend in the market of hats," he said.
Guests were mesmerised by the set up, which was set on the beach and the sunset added to the entire mood. Two models were also seen doing the Tango to the song "Sway" by Michael Buble.
Why the beach as the offsite venue?
"I love Goa for the sun, sand and sunset...That's why..." said Dalmia.
Producer Mohammed Morani and his wife Lucky Morani, who walked the ramp for Dalmia as showstoppers, recreated a wedding scenario where they exchanged rings, kissed and even cut a cake.
The three-day fashion event, which commenced on March 6, will conclude on Wednesday, where connoisseur of luxury fashion wear Suneet Varma will be bringing the curtains down with his latest range inspired from Hollywood glamour.
