Two and three-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto on Friday reported a rise of 34.68 per cent in its standalone net profit for the quarter ended March.
In a regulatory filing to the BSE, Bajaj Auto said its standalone net profit for the January-March quarter was at Rs 1,079.87 crore, up from Rs 801.82 crore reported in the corresponding period of 2016-17.
The total income of the company during the period under review stood at Rs 7,139.96 crore, 29.67 per cent higher than Rs 5,506.43 crore earned in the fourth quarter of 2016-2017.
For the financial year 2018, the company reported a standalone net profit of Rs 4,068.10 crore, 6.28 per cent higher than Rs 3,827.56 crore reported in the previous year.
The company further said its board has recommended a dividend of 600 per cent or Rs 60 per share of face value of Rs 10 each for the financial year ended March 31.
