Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan captured his 100th Test wicket at home on the third day of the one-off Test match against India here on Friday.
He sent rival opener Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma back to the pavilion in quick succession during the morning session on the third day at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium here to get his side back into the match.
Dhawan was the first one to go as he lobbed one straight to Shakib after a brilliant knock of 173 runs.
In his next over, Shakib dismissed Rohit with an away-turner that crashed onto his stumps as the right-hander went for a booming cover-drive and misread the trajectory completely.
Shakib now has 101 Test wickets at home to his name in 28 matches and is the leading Bangladesh wicket-taker. His bowling average is 35.09 with a strike-rate of 69.6. He has taken 142 wickets in total in 39 matches so far.
Heavy showers stopped play thrice in the post-lunch session and India went to tea at 462 for six in their first innings on Friday.
