A delegation comprising ten students, two teachers and two Army officers from various Army Schools of Bangladesh visited Eastern Command headquarters at Fort William here on Thursday, a defence official said.
The Defence Ministry spokesman said the visit was part of a cultural visit to foster military ties between the two countries
The four-day visit also aims to improve relations between the two nations through people to people contact.
The visit is in reciprocation to the earlier four-day visit by 10 students of Army Public School, Kolkata to Army Schools in Bangladesh last month.
Welcoming the delegates, Army Public School, Ballygunge, Principal Suchitra Bhattacharya the student exchange programme will enhance Indo-Bangladesh relations and strengthen the cultural bond between the two neighbours.
