Bangladesh's income from exports in the first two months of the 2015-16 fiscal grew 4.71 percent to nearly $5.38 billion, an official said on Wednesday.
The south Asian nation earned a total of $5.38 billion from exports during July-August of 2015-16 fiscal compared to $5.14 billion in the same period of the previous year, Xinhua quoted the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) official as saying.
The official said export performance for August was $2.76 billion -- 27.73 percent higher than that in the same month a year ago.
Overall export growth dipped to single digit as demand for Made in Bangladesh garment items had not begun to pick up yet.
