The total number of Bangladesh's mobile phone subscribers reached nearly 150 million at the end of February, with addition of 3.66 million new users in the first two months of the year, statistics of the country's telecom regulator showed on Tuesday.
The number of subscribers in the country reached 148.76 million in February, Xinhua news agency reported citing a data by Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission.
Bangladesh has now four mobile companies, three of whom -- including Grameenphone, Robi and Banglalink -- are foreign-backed cellphone operators.
The number of subscribers of the mobile operators, Grameenphone, Robi Axiata, Banglalink and Teletalk stood at 66.47 million, 45.59 million, 32.72 million and 3.98 million respectively at the end of February, BTRC data showed.
The total number of Bangladesh's mobile phone subscribers reached nearly 145.11 million at the end of December 2017.
