The Bangladesh government has summoned the Pakistan high commissioner in Dhaka after his government said it was "deeply disturbed" over the execution of two for war crimes, the media reported on Monday.
Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury, 67, and Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid, 68, were hanged in Dhaka's central jail on Sunday for war crimes committed during the 1971 independence struggle against Pakistan.
A senior foreign ministry official told bdnews24 that High Commissioner Shuja Alam was asked to visit the ministry on Monday and give explanation over his government's comments on the executions.
Pakistan in 2013 had opposed the execution of another war crimes convict, Abdul Quader Molla.

Its parliament had also adopted a resolution, saying Molla was hanged to death because "he was loyal to Pakistan and supported the Pakistan Army during the 1971 war".
This triggered a public furore, prompting Bangladesh's foreign ministry to summon then Pakistan high commissioner and strongly protest Islamabad's reaction.
Pakistan on Sunday noted with "deep concern and anguish" the executions of the the two former ministers.
"Pakistan is deeply disturbed at this development," Islamabad said in a statement on Sunday.
Its foreign ministry spokesperson also labelled the executions "unfortunate".
Pakistan also said the trials were "flawed".
"As emphasised earlier, we have also been noting the reaction of the international community on the flawed trials in Bangladesh related to the events of 1971," it added.
