The footballers of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid will emerge from the tunnel during Saturday's game at the Vicente Calderon here wearing T-shirts urging a solution to the refugees influx into Europe from Syria and Iraq.
The T-shirts will be bearing a message in Spanish and English reading 'Help the Refugees', Efe reported.
This step comes within the framework of cooperation between social foundations of both leading Spanish clubs and the UN agency for refugees, the UNHCR.
The 22 players who will start the game will wear the T-shirts and pose together in a picture before the media just before kicking off the match.
This initiative will be the first step of Barcelona's campaign to raise funds to help these refugees.
Barcelona announced that further details of the campaign will be unveiled in the coming days.
