Spanish coach Rafael Benitez will face his first challenge as manager of Real Madrid when the team meets Italy's Roma in a friendly match here for the 2015 International Champions Cup.
In a press conference held on Friday, Rafa said that he has a good feeling about the Roma tie, while he is curious to discover whether or not "the small things" he has been working on will prove "evident" on Saturday, reports Efe.
"Pre-seasons are about trying things out and getting to know players. We will gradually try out different systems and player positions. I don't like talking about a system, what makes the difference are the players on the pitch," the coach said, as published on Real Madrid's official website.
Benitez is pretty familiar with Roma given his previous experience as the coach of Serie A team Napoli, and may even allow some Real Madrid's youngsters to play for few minutes, though we will try to maintain balance in this regard, so as to not jeopardise the match's final result on Saturday.
