Czech Tomas Berdych qualified for the fourth time to compete in the quarter-finals at Wimbledon tennis championships, beating compatriot Jiri Vesely 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (8), 6-7 (9), 6-3 here on Tuesday.
The match was suspended on Monday due to lack of light at the end of the fourth set after three hours and 22 minutes, reports Efe.
On resumption on Tuesday, Berdych managed to seal his victory in a total time of three hours and 56 minutes.
Berdych will play his next match against Frenchman Lucas Pouille, who on Monday defeated Australian Bernard Tomic.
