Singer Beyonce Knowles has joined hands with "Mi gente" famed J Balvin and Willy Williams for a new version of the Spanish song in support of natural-disaster relief efforts.
She is donating her proceeds from the song to charities including CEMA, UNICEF and Somos Una Voz for Puerto Rico, Mexico and other affected Caribbean islands, reports variety.com.
"I am donating my proceeds from this song to hurricane relief charities for Puerto Rico, Mexico and the other affected Caribbean islands," Beyonce announced with a series of Instagram posts Thursday night.
The original version, which pairs Colombian singer Balvin with French artist/producer Williams, was originally released in June and ended the 14-week reign of singer Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" atop Spotify's Global chart.
Balvin, who has been collaborated with recording artists from all genres including pop star Justin Bieber, has millions of followers as does Beyonce with 106 million followers on Instagram alone.
One online Beyonce supporter simply wrote, "Super duper shook. She is queen."
