Indian Mujahideen co-founder Yasin Bhatkal and his aide Asadullah Akhtar were Tuesday sent to 10 days' police custody by a Delhi court in connection with the Sep 13, 2008 blast in Delhi's Karol Bagh.
Additional Sessions Judge Daya Prakash allowed police to quiz Bhatkal and Akhtar till Dec 20 for their role in the blast.
Bhatkal and Akhtar were presented before the court after expiry of their remand in the September 2010 Jama Masjid terror attack case.
Delhi Police told the court they did not need further custodial interrogation of the two in the Jama Masjid case.
Police, however, asked the court to grant custody of the two in connection with the Karol Bagh blast.
Several bomb blasts had rocked the capital city Sep 13, 2008.
As many as 13 suspected Indian Mujahideen members are currently facing trial in the 2008 serial blasts case.
