Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 20th Annual Life OK Screen Awards, says he does not have any words to thank the film industry for the grace and honour given to him.
Hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, the Screen Awards was held here Tuesday. The 71-year-old was given the honour by veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha and filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
"The grace and honour with which colleagues and friends, and all those behind the scene workers, commemorate the 45 years of my existence in this wonderful world of films, can never have sufficient words to fill that immortal cup of gratitude," Amitabh posted on his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com Wednesday.
He said it was an "awkward moment" for him to go on stage and say a few words after receiving the award.
"Perhaps it is easier for those that express, it certainly is not the most easiest for him that has to sit in not too great a distance, to listen and wait for that call from the stage to come up and get it! Get the reward," Big B posted.
The awards function will be aired on Life OK channel Jan 25.
