The principal of a homeopathic medical college in Bihar's Munger district was arrested by the Vigilance Investigation Bureau (VIB) for allegedly taking bribe from a student, authorities said on Friday.
Saryoug Kumar, principal of the Temple of Hahnemann Homeopathic Medical College, was arrested for taking a bribe of Rs.30,000, a district police official said.
"Kumar was arrested on charges of taking bribe from a college student for providing his marks-sheet," the official said.
VIB acted on the complaint of a student Amrit Kumar, who was enrolled from 2007 to 2012 and completed his course but the accused demanded Rs.65,000 to provide him his marks-sheet.
