The Bihar Police Friday seized over Rs.1 crore in cash and documents related to movable and immovable property in raids against a senior govenrment official.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohd Moquim, simultaneous raids were conducted at 10 places across the state including Patna.
The Economic Offences Unit targeted Jhakhri Ram, a senior officer of the mining department, and found assets worth crore of rupees disproportionate to his known sources of income.
"We have raided Jhakhri Ram's house in Patna and other places and recovered huge sums of cash," Moquim said.
